The period starts with the delivery to EU, at end of October and at end of November, of the Deliverables relevant to the Cost Benefit Analysis Database, Test procedures on cylinders prototypes and experimental support tests with strain gauges to validation of the software simulation models and safety factors validation tests, Technical proposals for the construction and equipment of a loading/unloading modules, Software tools for the design and operation of the loading/unloading facilities.
Other actions to be undertaken by the project will be the achievement of Project Milestone MS5 in January 2020 and the preparation in due time for the 2nd Reporting to EU, due on May 2020.
Overall, the period is crucial for the following:
- Finalization of CNG Ships basic design by the end of October. Forward the documentation to ABS, in the latest revision, for approval no later than November 4th. Basic design package revised according to ABS comments, to be ready for uploading on EU Portal by January.
- All Partners will have, for the first time, the opportunity to see the experimental pilot line, fruit of the efforts of CNGV and BM Plus, in working conditions.
- By the end of the year at least 3 liners become CNG Cylinders and will undergo to the planned tests of autofrettage, fatigue and burst, confirming the success of the Project.
- With the testing results in hands, a strong marketing campaign finalized to awake the interest of investors and potential industrial partners has to start.
